Description
Match Lake covers approximately one and a half acres, with an average depth of six feet that becomes shallower near the edges. The lake is dotted with water lily beds and surrounded by a peaceful, picturesque setting—ideal for a relaxing day of fishing.
Its level, accessible banks make it perfect for anglers of all ages and abilities, particularly those staying in the nearby holiday cottages. Most of the lake is easily reachable via well-maintained paths, with comfortable swims throughout. The north side of the lake features slightly steeper banks, but between the mature willow trees lie several excellent pegs. These spots are especially popular with float fishermen, offering seclusion and strong catches.
Despite its modest size, Match Lake boasts an impressive stock of fish, making it a favourite destination for anglers seeking a rewarding, action-packed session.
